Counterfeiting and piracy report MISE-UNICRI “Protection of intellectual property rights in the Euro-Mediterranean area focus on the Agro-food sector”.

Counterfeiting and piracy are becoming more and more widespread in the current global economy. The concerns for the economic and social ramifications of this phenomenon have significantly raised awareness on this issue, both at national and international level.

In this framework, the Italian Patent and Trademark Office of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MISE), in Collaboration with the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), has recently published a report (click here to download) in which it compares the anti-counterfeiting regulatory frameworks adopted by countries in the Euro-Mediterranean area, with a special focus on the agri-food sector.

The title of the dossier is “THE PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS IN THE EUROMEDITERRANEAN AREA: FOCUS ON THE AGRO-FOOD SECTOR”.
