On the 6th of December 2017, the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Unesco, meeting in session at Jeju island in South Korea, positively assessed, and by unanimous vote, the Italian candidature for the insertion of the Neapolitan pizzaiolo art in the list of the intangible cultural heritages of humanity.
