On 12 March 2018, the Ambassador of Italy to Kuwait, H.E. Giuseppe Scognamiglio, attended the inauguration of the exhibition “Islamic Treasures”, hosted at Kuwait National Museum, in the presence and under the auspices of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the State of Kuwait, H.E. Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The exhibition, organized with the collaboration of the National Council for Culture, Art and Letters (NCCAL), included rare copies of the Holy Quran, coins, manuscripts, carpets, jewelry, textile and pottery. The treasures were collected by Mahmoud Al-Nouri, the oldest relics’ collector in Kuwait, from different parts of the world over three decades, and included Al-Nouri’s private collection.
