On March 17, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Luigi Di Maio, presented the cultural diplomacy initiatives called “Dante 700 in the World”, aimed at celebrating the seventh centenary of the death of the famous Italian poet Dante Alighieri.
In 2021, the 700th anniversary of the death of the Supreme poet, Dante Alighieri, will occur and hundreds of celebratory events will be held throughout the Italian diplomatic network. The program will last until autumn and will culminate with the XXI Week of the Italian Language in the World (18-24 October), also dedicated to the Poet (“Dante, the Italian”).
