Lorenzo Morini<\/strong><\/p>\n

Born in Arezzo on 25 May 1968, he graduated in Political Science from the University of Florence in 1994. Following a competitive exam, he was appointed Volunteer in the diplomatic career on 23 September 1996.<\/p>\n

After his first assignment at the Press and Information Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in 1999 he assumed the functions of Consul in Mar del Plata.<\/p>\n

In 2003 he took up service in Quito, where he served as Deputy Head of Mission and Head of the Commercial Office of the Embassy.<\/p>\n

In 2007, upon returning to Rome, he took up service in Office I of the Directorate General for Mediterranean and Middle East Countries, responsible for relations with the Maghreb countries, where he carried out the functions of Head of Office starting from May 2010.<\/p>\n

Following the reorganization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, since December 2010 he has been Head of Office VII of the Directorate General for Political and Security Affairs, responsible for relations with the Maghreb countries and Euro-Mediterranean processes.<\/p>\n

Between December 2013 and June 2018 he served as Ambassador’s Deputy at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo and since July 2018 as First Counselor at the Permanent Representation of Italy to the UN in New York, as Head of economic, climate and environmental dossiers, health and development cooperation.<\/p>\n

Having returned to Rome, starting from October 2021 he assumes the role of Head of Office VIII of the General Directorate for Europe and International Commercial Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, responsible for relations with the countries of Central and Northern Europe.<\/p>\n

On 4 December 2023 he assumed the role of Ambassador of Italy to Kuwait.<\/p>\n
