{"id":3028,"date":"2026-04-07T09:41:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T06:41:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambalkuwait.esteri.it\/?page_id=3028"},"modified":"2026-04-07T09:45:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T06:45:17","slug":"declaration-of-value","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ambalkuwait.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/declaration-of-value\/","title":{"rendered":"Declaration of value"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>DECLARATION OF VALUE OF ACADEMIC TITLES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>EFFECTS OF THE DOCUMENT<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>Declaration of Value<\/strong> is a document issued by Italian Consular Authorities to individuals who, having obtained an academic title from foreign educational institutions, <u>wish to continue their studies in Italy, initiate the procedures for the equivalence of academic titles, or for professional recognition<\/u>.<br \/>\nItalian and\/or foreign citizens who have obtained their academic title <strong>in the consular district of Kuwait<\/strong> may request the Declaration of Value, by appointment with the service.<\/p>\n<p><u>The Declaration of Value does not confer recognition to the Title in Italy; its sole purpose is to describe the value of the academic title as it is recognized in the Country of origin<\/u>. Recognition or equivalence of academic titles falls under the competence of the specific Italian Authorities concerned.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To obtain the Declaration of Value for a diploma or academic title, the applicant \u2013 <u>or the parents, in the case of a minor under the age of 18 at the time of the application<\/u> \u2013 must submit:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li><strong>A completed and signed application form<\/strong>, available at the following <a href=\"https:\/\/ambalkuwait.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Modulo-di-domanda-di-Dichiarazione-di-Valore-ITA-e-ENG.pdf\">link<\/a>, addressed to the Embassy of Italy in Kuwait, Consular Chancery, specifying the purpose of the request (e.g., continuation of studies in Italy, professional employment, etc.);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Original academic titles for the entire educational path<\/strong>: certificates and diplomas obtained (primary school, secondary school, college, undergraduate\/master\u2019s degree, PhD, if applicable);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Certified copies of the academic titles issued by the institution of origin<\/strong>, <strong><u>bearing the stamp and signature of the head of the institution, and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait<\/u><\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Certificate from the institution<\/strong> \u2013 an official declaration from the institution \u2013 <strong>confirming regular attendance and passing of exams<\/strong>, <strong><u>bearing the stamp and signature of the head of the institution, and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait<\/u><\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Certificate of exams<\/strong>: a document indicating the study program, completed years, grades achieved in each subject, and the final GPA, <strong><u>with the stamp and signature of the head of the institution, and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait<\/u><\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Official translations into Italian<\/strong>: <u>all original documents and certified copies with legalization must be translated into Italian<\/u> for the subsequent verification of the translation;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Identity document<\/strong>: a copy of the applicant\u2019s passport \u2013 if the application concerns a minor under the age of 18, a copy of the parents\u2019 documents, who sign the application form, is also required;<\/li>\n<li><strong>A recent passport-sized photograph<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: <u>If the school does not follow the Kuwaiti academic system<\/u> (e.g., English, American, Indian schools), <strong><u>the final certificate issued by the Ministry of Education of Kuwait \u2013 Private Section \u2013 is required<\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This certificate confirms that the school\u2019s title is equivalent to the certificate issued by schools that follow the Kuwaiti academic system. This document must also be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and translated into Italian.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PROFESSIONAL TRAINING<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the Declaration of Value is requested for the recognition of a professional\/academic title in Italy, the certification issued by the competent authority must be presented, indicating the registration in the Professional Register and the corresponding registration number (to be presented in original, legalized copy, and Italian translation).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>APPOINTMENTS<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To obtain an appointment, it is necessary to send a request via email, specifying the applicant\u2019s name, confirming possession of all required documentation, and attaching the application form (1) and a copy of the identity document (7), to the following address: <a href=\"mailto:consolare.alkuwait@esteri.it\">consolare.alkuwait@esteri.it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>INFORMATION ON UNIVERSITIES<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Consular Chancery does not provide information about the Italian academic landscape.
