The Italian Agency of State Property has been committed for several years to recover the real estate owned by the Italian State and other public bodies, to make them usable and thus contribute to the economic and social development of the territories.
Starting from 2013, the “VALORE PAESE-DIMORE” (Country-dwellings Value initiative) has been developed, aimed at the redevelopment of public buildings of historical, artistic and landscape value, selected on the whole national territory to be reused for tourist-receptive and cultural purposes. The “ Valore Paese” initiative was subsequently strengthened with two new projects: “Lighthouses, Towers and Coastal Buildings” and “Paths and RoutesPaths and Routes“. In this context, at the end of July the IV call for “Lighthouses, Towers and Coastal Buildings” was published, expiring on 11/27/2018 (see the Italian documentation at http://www.agenziademanio.it/opencms/en/projects/lighthouses/, with operational subsection including descriptions in English accessible here), while the publication of the second call for ” Paths and Routes ” is expected at the end of September 2018.
Participation in tenders allows access to specific funding for the implementation of redevelopment works. For further details on the procedures for realizing a real estate investment property, on the authorizations to transform or redevelop the acquired property, as well as on the authorizations of the activities that are intended to be carried out in the acquired building, the Italian Agency of State Property has created a web platform (Italian version, English version) and activated the email address dg.progettiarete@agenziadeldemanio.it, to which specialized staff of the Agency will provide, also in English, feedback to any requests for clarification or further information.
