On February 13, 2018, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Angelino Alfano, took part in the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition to defeat Daesh, held at Bayan Palace, Kuwait City.
The ministerial plenary was divided into two working sessions: the first, focused on Iraq and Syria – during which Minister Alfano held its speech – and the second, dedicated to the global dimension of Daesh. On the sideline of the works, Minister Alfano was received by the Kuwaiti Prime Minister, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, with whom he discussed the excellent state of bilateral relations.
In conjunction with the meeting, at Crowne Plaza was held the segment of the Conference for the reconstruction of Iraq dedicated to the private sector (entitled “Invest in Iraq”), attended by an Italian delegation led by the General Director for Developmental Cooperation, Minister Plenipotentiary Giorgio Marrapodi, Head of the Italian Delegation also at the ministerial meeting of the aforementioned Conference on Iraq, held on 14th February at Bayan Palace.
