In the framework of the initiatives undertaken by the Embassy of Italy in Kuwait on the protection of health and safety in the workplace, an event took place on September 24, at the premises of the headquarters and in the presence of H.E. Ambassador Giuseppe Scognamiglio, organized by the New Mowasat Hospital in Kuwait City, took place: “Community Service Campaign to Spread Health and Awareness in Organizations”.
A pulmonologist initially held a seminar on the effects of smoking on health, followed by a more general debate, on disease prevention and local health conditions, that raised great interest among the staff of the diplomatic mission. Afterwards, H.E. Ambassador Scognamiglio and some of the mission’s employees underwent Blood Pressure measuring and blood (glucose concentration) tests, which were kindly offered by the hospital staff.
