In the framework of the excellent relations between Italy and Kuwait and the strategic cooperation in the military sector, the European Multi Mission Frigate (FREMM) Carabiniere of the Military Navy will stop in Kuwait from 18th to 22nd April 2017.
Carabiniere Frigate is the fourth FREMM unit delivered to the Military Navy in April 2015 as an “anti-submarine” version and is equipped with a weapon system, defense and discovery of the latest generation, and in the vanguard in both the military as well as civil sectors.
It is a mission aimed at ensuring presence and maritime surveillance, strengthening the existing co-operation activities with some trans-regional allies and establishing relationships with new potential partners. The campaign has reached and will reach several Countries, other than Kuwait, such as: Saudi Arabia, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Qatar and Bahrain.
The initiative was born with the collaboration of Fincantieri (main sponsor), Leonardo, MBDA Italia, Elettronica and Telespazio and the participation of RTV San Marino and RAI World as Media Partner.
