The SLAM University Language Center of the University of Milan is organizing the third edition of the Italian language training and refresher course for teachers of Italian L2/s from 1 to 5 September 2025.
The course, which will take place at the central offices of the University of Milan (via Santa Sofia 9/1 and piazza Sant’Alessandro 1), is open to teachers of Italian L2/s who work, in Italy or abroad, at universities, Italian Cultural Institutes, or in other public and/or private bodies. The course is recognizable as Erasmus+ Staff training week.
With this course, the SLAM Centre wishes to contribute towards meeting the requirements of the academic community regarding the teaching and learning of the Italian language for foreigners. More specifically, the refresher course for teachers aims to update the foreign language teaching skills and provide new strategies for the development of the linguistic skills of learners of various contexts, all of this with a theoretical-practical approach.
The course is held by language trainers specialized in the subject and has a fee of 352 € (VAT and charges included) which covers: 25-hour training and refresher course, two cultural activities (guided tour of the Ca’ Granda, historic headquarters of the University of Milan, and of the Brera Botanical Garden); coffee breaks, gadgets.
Teachers who wish to apply will have to submit their application by 20th May 2025 at 12 noon (Italian time). After the deadline, the SLAM Centre will evaluate the applications prioritising teachers who work abroad and will establish the ranking of the eligible candidates, publishing it by the first week of June 2025.
The selected applicants must confirm their participation by 16th June 2025 by paying the registration fee.
