WORKSHOP AGENDA “THE ROLE OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY IN REHABILITATING TERRORISTS RETURNING FROM CONFLICT ZONES” (KUWAIT, 5 DICEMBER 2017)

On the 5th of December 2017, at the Marriott Hotel in Kuwait City, the Deputy Head of Mission of the Italian Embassy in Kuwait, Mr. Andrea Quartieri, participated in the workshop entitled “The Role of the International Community in Rehabilitating Terrorists returning from Conflict Zones”, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait, following the commitment of the Emirate in the international anti-Daesh Coalition and the promotion of the State of Kuwait as a context associated with security and stability. Among those involved at the workshop were the Assistant Foreign Minister for Development and International Cooperation of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser AlSabeeh, Dr. Mohammed Al Awadhi, the Deputy Director for the fight against violent extremism at the US State Department Counter-Terrorism Bureau, Dr. Oliver Wilcox, the Councilor of the EEAS Counter-Terrorism Coordinator, Mr. Benjamin Pugsley, the Director of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office, Dr. Jehangir Khan, as well as officials from the Ministry of Interior of the State of Kuwait.
