On November 25, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Red Bench was inaugurated at the Embassy’s premises with the participation of the Embassy staff and a number of ladies, representatives of various Kuwaiti institutions. The Red Bench, a universal symbol of Italy’s commitment against violence and gender discrimination, was inaugurated, as desired by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, who stressed “The Red Bench recalls the empty place left in society by every single woman victim of femicide, and also a symbol of our continued support in combating all forms of violence even against simple discrimination”.
